Join me for an immersive one-day photo seminar experience. Learn to maximize the features of your smart phone and explore options for better framing, composition, and editing. Discover specialty apps and unleashing the power of what is possible with smart phone technology.

The best camera in the world is the one you have with you. No doubt, your smart phone is within arms reach at all times. The quality of images improves with each generation of our smart phone devices. The class is open to all who have iPhone, Android, Samsung, etc. I will be demonstrating on my iPhone 16 MaxPro.

This immersive seminar will enlighten, entertain, and inspire. After the seminar, all participants will be invited to participate in the 2025 52-Week Smart Phone Challenges. Only those who have taken my previous smart phone classes or seminars are eligible to participate in the 2025 Challenges. By participating, you will join a world-wide community and grow as an artist by simply learning to see your world with new eyes.

Frankly, photography has made me a better quilter because it allowed me to create art in an instant. Painting, sculpting, quilting, and other artistic mediums take time. For those mediums, time is needed to explore the success of composition. Photography allows you to learn composition, seeing, and artful presentation in milliseconds. It’s also a LOT of fun.

Here is the schedule for the one-day online Smart Phone Photography Seminar
The seminar will run from 8:30AM to 4:30 Mountain Time. All sessions are recorded

What you need: A smart phone, an EXIF editing app (free in your app store), and smart phone photo filter app (optional). Ricky will demonstrate various filter apps. Wait until those are shared before downloading so you can choose what apps best suits your needs.

8:30AM - Session 1 - Smart Phone Basics and Shooting Considerations

10AM break for 30 minutes

!0:30 - Session 2 - Seeing, Framing, and Composition

Noon - break for one hour

1:00 - Session 3 Photo Adventure Assignment, editing metadata, renaming images, and how to upload images for group interaction.

2:00 Head of for your Photo Adventure Assignment, edit your images, upload your assignment images.

3:30 Photographers Showcase
